Branco a Ugandan born musician has been performing and teaching music both nationally and internationally since 2005. A multi-instrumentalist, researcher, and singer-songwriter, Branco has conducted workshops, presentations, and performances of Ugandan roots music as well as original compositions reflecting a wealth of African world influences. Branco is the founder of Bitone Children's Center, which provides shelter, education, and entrepreneurship skills to Ugandan disadvantaged children and youth (www.bitonechildrencenter.org).

Branco is a Fulbright scholar and holds a Masters Degree in Music Composition from Wesleyan University, USA. He is currently pursuing his PhD in Music Education at Texas Tech University.  He is also an Assistant Lecturer in music at the Department of Performing Arts and Film at Makerere University. His research areas and interests include: Music Pedagogy, Multiculturalism, Popular music, Community music, Music Technology, Children’s musical development and Creativity (improvisation, composition & performance).
